Reykhólar Spa Tour
In this special tour we are going from Reykjavik to Reykhólar situated in westfjords.
Reykhólar, an ancient manor, stands by the unique ocean habitat of Breiðafjörður and is one of the largest geothermal areas in the westfjords. There we will go to Spa at Sjávarsmiðjan, take a wonderful warm seaweedbath and rest in relaxation, soaking in the powerful and nurturing elements of the seaweed, enjoying the spectacular wiews.
The seaweed baths
For centuries, the people of Reykhólar in the West Fjords of Iceland have used kelp from the unique ocean habitat of Breidafjordur Bay as a source of healing and rejuvenation. The kelp is first dried using the geothermal energy of the area and then milled, preserving both its exceptional effectiveness and the invigorating scent of the sea. The result is a potent powder, rich in antioxidant, vitamins, minerals, proteins, iron, iodine and other health enhancing substances, which are used in the bath or as a facial mask to soften the skin, improve its elasticity and slow the signs of aging - all in a completely natural way.
